Noam Chomsky: Israeli crimes are also U.S. crimes

Gaza and the West Bank are strategically separated by US and Israeli policy, depriving the West Bank of access to the outside world and essentially imprisoning it between two enemies. Israeli crimes are also U.S. crimes, as the United States authorizes and supports them economically, diplomatically, militarily, and ideologically. Noam Chomsky compares Gaza to a maximum security prison, highlighting the harsh and brutal siege it is under. The siege of Gaza is considered a major war crime, with constant and systematic attacks on all borders to drive the population inland, taking away their limited arable land and sea access. Israeli troops regularly commit atrocities in Gaza to assert their dominance and show who's boss. The crushing of Palestinians has been happening for decades with complete impunity, part of our ideological contribution to ensuring their oppression.
