Janggo or jangu is one of the traditional Korean Musical Instruments.
The shape of the instrument is like a hourglass and is therefore referred to as the sand clock drum.
These two opposing sides of the vine produce two distinct sounds representing two elements: men and women
The two halves are made of a different animal skin between the sides.
And the body parts of the Janggo that grow at both ends and shrink at the center are made of wood.
The trim of the janggo body is called jorongmok.
Two attack devices or janghu sticks called (chae).
1.
Gungcae
2.
Yeolchae
Usually Janggo or the vine is used for Korean arts activities, such as
Samulnori
chun-kit
Listening or farmer music.
