PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S LAST DAYS BEFORE DEATH

Story Chronology : The last day of the Prophet Muhammad, known as the Day of Arafat, is a momentous and poignant chapter in history. It occurred on the 12th day of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal in the 11th year of the calendar, which corresponds to 8 June 632 CE in the Gregorian calendar. On this day, the Prophet Muhammad delivered his farewell sermon during his farewell pilgrimage, known as the Hajj, to a vast congregation of Muslims gathered at the plain of Arafat. The sermon is renowned for its timeless wisdom and universal messages, emphasizing the equality of all Muslims, the importance of justice, and the sanctity of human life and property. During the farewell pilgrimage, Prophet Muhammad performed the rituals of Hajj, demonstrating the significance of each step to his followers. After the completion of the pilgrimage, while returning to Medina, the Prophet received the revelation of the final verse of the Quran in Ghadir Khumm, marking the completion of the divine message. Upon his return to Medina, the Prophet's health began to decline, and he spent his last days in the house of his wife, Aisha. Despite his illness, he continued to offer guidance to his followers and engaged in prayer and supplication. On the 28th day of Safar in the 11th year of the calendar, Prophet Muhammad passed away. The Prophet's final moments were characterized by tranquility and a sense of surrender to the divine will. Before his passing, he entrusted his community to the guidance of Allah and reiterated the importance of maintaining unity among Muslims. His last words included prayers for mercy, forgiveness, and a longing for the company of Allah and the righteous.
