The production budget was over $250 million dollars, exceeding its predecessor Spectre by $5 million. The Daniel Craig starrer was 2021's 7th most popular film, grossing over $770 million dollars worldwide. However, insiders revealed that before its release, it was thought that the studio could lose millions because of the COVID-19 related delays. Experts predicted that MGM studios was set to lose $100 million with its release. Even more money was allegedly spent on promotional campaigns, close to $100 million.
