Vyborg is an ancient city with a centuries-old history

One of the romantic cities on the shore of the Gulf of Finland, just a few dozen kilometers from Finland. Its history before 1293 is very vague, there are legendary versions that the settlement that once existed here is associated with the ancient Slavic prince Gostomysl. The main attraction is Vyborg Castle, founded by the Swedish Crusader knights. This is the only example of Western European fortification of the Middle Ages in the country. The city is very attractive for travelers. According to opinion polls, Vyborg is constantly included in the "tops" of the most tourist destinations, including "weekend cities".
