Russia in humiliating retreat from crucial Ukraine city

Russia has announced its imminent withdrawal from the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, the only regional capital it has captured since February's full-scale invasion, and which it illegally annexed just weeks ago. Kherson was a key win for Russia as it tried to advance along Ukraine's Black Sea Coast. But with troops straddling the Dnipro river and a Ukrainian offensive that has hammered Russian supply lines, Moscow's top military brass has now announced a retreat towards defensive positions on the other side of the river.
