Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is an upcoming American supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan and co-written with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth Ghostbusters film. The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O'Connor, Logan Kim, as well as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton returning their roles from previous films, while Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt also appear. In the film, years after avoiding a dimensional crossrip in Summerville, Oklahoma, the veteran Ghostbusters must band together with their new recruits to defend the world in New York City from a strong death-chilling enemy.
