Etched Spessartine Garnet

This garnet shines and flashes in the light, displaying an amazing 4-rayed star. It glows a vibrant red when backlit, and it is the largest etched garnet that we have had in our inventory. We just shipped it out to a customer today and had to take one more video! It features intricate patterns on its surface that are caused by natural etching. Within the earth, the crystal was exposed to fluids that caused the dissolution of the crystal.
