COUNTING WITH ABACUS

An abacus is a traditional calculating tool that was used in many parts of the world before the widespread adoption of electronic calculators. It consists of a rectangular frame with a series of horizontal rods, on which beads are strung. The beads can be moved along the rods to perform arithmetic calculations.
