The present calendric system incorporates Leap Years, which are integrated in linear time. This examines the distinction between cyclical time (Kairos) and linear time (Chronos). How does the Leap Year help our current Solar Calendar follow the seasons and why do we have them? As an illustration, 1904 was a leap year while 1900 was not. We won't skip a leap year again until 2100.
