Oprah Winfrey Leaves WeightWatchers Board of Directors

Oprah Winfrey is leaving the board of WeightWatchers. The move comes shortly after Winfrey revealed she has added an unnamed "weight-loss medication" to her health-and-fitness regimen. The company says she is quitting the board "to eliminate any perceived conflict of interest around her taking weight loss medications." Winfrey says she hopes to continue working with WeightWatchers and "elevating the conversation around recognizing obesity as a chronic condition [and] working to reduce stigma."
