I was deeply inspired to paint this piece for my first solo show! Comment your thoughts on this piece!!! It is a purposefully “unfinished” portrait that allows us to see MJ in a different light than we usually see him…this piece sort of “normalizes” him in my opinion. Painting him this way encourages us to find the beauty and wholeness within the imperfection, which is symbolic to all of our lives because nobody in this world is perfect…but that is OKAY!! When we understand that and stop looking to “perfection”, we begin to love ourselves and we begin to focus on progression instead. That is where we can make a difference in our lives, and in turn, make a positive impact on the world around us…just like Michael Jackson!
