After their bad experiences with major drug dealers such as Krazy-8 and Tuco, Walt and Jesse decide to set up their own business. Walt handles production and Jesse distribution. They will each have a 50% share. Jesse recruits his friends to sell their stock. It works, until one of the deals goes wrong: Skinny Pete is mugged by two drug addicts who steal his merchandise. Having moved, Jesse strikes up a friendship with his new neighbor, Jane. She understands that he has lied to her about his identity, but agrees to let him stay in the apartment as long as he doesn't do business there.
