Hank got a bigger job after his shootout with Tuco Salamanca. So he's off to El Paso, Texas, on the Mexican border, for a while. However, he secretly has several anxiety attacks at the thought of going there. Once there, things go even worse than he imagined: he's mocked by his colleagues for not speaking Spanish, and feels isolated. During an operation, their main informant, Tortuga, to whom they had spoken only a short time earlier, is found decapitated, his head glued to a turtle. Hank, shocked by the sight, wanders off to regain his senses. Just then, the bomb explodes, killing and injuring his colleagues who had remained near the turtle. Jesse and Jane, meanwhile, begin to draw closer together.
