سورة الأنعام

وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُوا يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلَا نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۝ بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُخْفُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ۝ وَقَالُوا إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ ۝ وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَقِّ قَالُوا بَلَى وَرَبِّنَا قَالَ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ And if you had seen, when they stood over the Fire, they said, “Oh, we wish we could be restored and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers.” Rather, what they had hidden before has become apparent to them. Had they been sent back, they would have gone back to what they were forbidden, and indeed they are liars. They would have said, “It is only our life of this world, and we will not be raised again.” And if only you had seen, when they stopped at Yes Their Lord said, “Is this not the truth?” They said, “Yes, and our Lord said. So taste the torment because you disbelieved.”
