Taiwan is Hostile to China. In ancient times, Taiwan Country was part of China's Qing Dynasty from 1683 - 1895. Then Japan came and seized Taiwan from the Qing Dynasty from 1895 - 1945. Before Japan left Taiwan, revolutionary forces had overthrown the Qing Dynasty and declared the Republic of China. At that time there were two major parties, namely the Nationalists and the Communists, who were fighting for power, until civil war broke out in 1949. The Nationalist Party lost and fled to Taiwan and declared a rival government with the same name, namely the Republic of China. Due to the similarity of names, mainland China finally changed its name to the People's Republic of China.
