Health Considerations in Observances: Exploring the Prophetic Perspective on Fasting

There is a hadith narrated from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) that he said: "(The name of one of the gates of Paradise is "Ryan" (i.e. Watering) through which only those who fast will enter Paradise.) Shaykh Saduq (peace be upon him) said: Commenting on this hadith in Al-Akhbar, he wrote that this door was chosen to enter Paradise because the fasting person suffers more due to thirst, so when the fasting person enters through this door, he will be like this.
