There is invasive meningococcal disease in the area. After completing this instructional exercise, participants will be capable of: - Describe who is eligible for free Meningococcal ACWY and B on the NIP schedule. - Review the epidemiology of Invasive Meningococcal Disease (IMD) in Australia. - Determine the serotypes producing IMD and presentation trends according to the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System. Describe the effect of vaccination practices on IMD rates if other States implemented a MenB free vaccination program in addition to the current NIP schedule. - Examine recent changes in Meningococcal B reimbursement in SA and QLD.
