Kaaba, the sacred structure located at the center of the Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Kaaba is considered the holiest site in and is a focal point for Muslims during the Hajj pilgrimage and throughout the year for prayers. It is a cubic building draped in a black cloth, adorned with verses from the Quran, and Muslims around the world face towards it during their daily prayers.
