Home remedies for cracked heels
Very easy home remedies for cracked heels
Causes of cracked heels
With the onset of winter, the skin begins to lose its natural moisture and the resulting stretch marks, loose heels and wrinkles, along with rough, cracked heels also come to the fore. In fact, the hardest skin of our body is on the heels and the amount of moisture in this part of the body is less. At that time, if the work is done carelessly, the skin starts to stretch day by day due to which cracks are formed.
In addition, walking barefoot on the carpet also dries out the skin on the bottom of the feet. Often women complain of cracked heels even in summer because their hands and feet stay in water for a long time which dries out the skin. Cracked heels can also be hereditary, besides keratoderma is a disease that affects the lower skin of the hands and feet as well as the heels.
While taking measures for physical health and beauty, we often forget the heels and this is the reason why cracked heels are not only unsightly but also painful.
There are very simple home remedies to get rid of this problem
1. White vinegar to lukewarm water
Mix one quarter of white vinegar in lukewarm water and dip your feet in it. Do this process three times a week. Doing this process can make your heel skin soft and supple very quickly.
2. White vinegar in olive oil
Mix a few drops of white vinegar or a few drops of lemon in olive oil and massage the heels and wear woolen socks overnight and wash the heels in the morning.
3. Banana paste
Mash the banana and apply it on the heels for 10 minutes. This paste can also be mixed with grated coconut.
4. Paraffin wax
Mix mustard oil well and massage it on the heels and leave it on overnight and wash it off in the morning. Continue this process for 10 to 15 days.
5. Olive oil
Add a few drops of lemon juice or lavender oil to olive oil and apply it from time to time to keep the heels moist.
6. Turmeric and oil massage
Massaging the affected area with a mixture of turmeric oil restores moisture to cracked heels, while also reducing swelling or pain. Doing this regularly keeps the skin away from problems by increasing the blood circulation in the feet.
7. Use of socks
Walking barefoot can make feet prone to bacteria and dirt, so it's a good idea to wear cotton socks to protect them from dirt and pollution.
8. Use of lemon
First, cut a large lemon into two pieces and then extract the juice. You need to extract all the juice, but leave a little bit of the inner pulp in both pieces. Now place both pieces under the heels and don't worry about pressing. Now put the socks on the feet with these pieces and let the lemon pieces stick to the heels for half an hour.
9. Use of closed shoes
Sandals or shoes with open backs can also cause or worsen cracked heels, so wearing closed-toe shoes can help prevent this.
10. Coconut oil
It is the best medicine for dry skin. It retains moisture in the skin. Ladies and gentlemen who have cracked heels, should apply coconut oil after soaking them in water. It is mentioned in the books that it is anti-inflammatory.
11. Petroleum jelly
If you regularly clean your cracked heels with a pumice stone, and then apply petroleum jelly, it will relieve the dryness. If you scrub your feet with a pumice stone, apply petroleum jelly to them before bed. You'll wake up with soft and mostly crack-free heels.
12 rose water and glycerin
Mix equal amounts of rose water and glycerin and rub this mixture over your cracked heels. If a cut is open or bleeding, it may sting as a result of glycerin (which contains alcohol). This should keep your skin soft for hours, and you can easily apply the mixture before putting on sandals or walking around barefoot.
13. Start drinking more water
When heels crack it doesn't happen suddenly, in fact it is also a result of dehydration in the body, so making sure to drink enough water can also help to solve the problem quickly. The skin is more affected in dry weather and the habit of drinking water does not allow the skin to crack. It is important to keep your body hydrated, as this will prevent your feet from drying out. It is important that you drink 12-15 glasses of water a day.
