Introducing Rentap Muaythai Gym, teenage sensation Johan "Jojo" Ghazali was literally born for Thai boxing. The Malaysian-born American's mother and father were both Thai boxing fighters, so some of his earliest memories are of learning martial arts from his parents. Although Ghazali was born in Sarawak, Malaysia, his mother and father met while training Thai boxing in the United States: his mother was American, and his father was a mix of Malay, Indonesian and Japanese. Growing up in Malaysia, he led a completely normal life, but his family has always been deeply passionate about Thai boxing. This prompted him to try his hand at sports when he was 10 years old. Ghazali had early success in Malaysia, but gave up his first five Thai boxing fights when he started crossing the border to compete in Thailand. Then his sixth fight in the country changed his life. He won and never looked back, eventually getting the chance to participate in ONE Friday Fights, a weekly series of prime-time events in Asia. Since then, he has dominated the competition, winning four in a row and earning a coveted $100,000 contract with the world's largest martial arts organization. Ghazali charmed fans with his ruthless fighting style and unwavering self-confidence. From the moment the bell rings, he rushes into battle, inviting enemies to join the battle of skills and will. He is now ready to make his US primetime debut on ONE Fight Night 17 on the Prime Video channel on December 8th this year. He will fight the Mexican striker and former contender for the title of world champion in Thai boxing in the lightest weight ONE Edgar Tabares.
