The surgery involved to make your teeth appeared bigger

This was done to my teeth when i was 12 or 13. My teeth were very small and recessed in my gums. I remember my gums were sore for a few days after but it wasnt any more traumatic than getting a tooth filled or something like that. Healed up and looks totally normal. I dont think this is like a vanity procedure. Sometimes people are born with an overgrown gum ridge. No my teeth are not falling out 20+ years later. Ppl in the comments are acting like this is a surgery for vain people looking for some bizarre beauty fad have no idea what theyre talking about. This was decided by my orthodontist at the time and performed by an oral surgeon.
