Reported by MOS, the Pacific Ocean contains the highest mountain in the world, namely Mount Mauna Kea which has a height of 13,800 feet and extends 19,700 feet to the ocean floor. It could be said that Mount Mauna Kea is one mile higher or 1609 meters higher than Mount Everest.
