The Israeli army reported that it killed a senior Palestinian Jihad member who took part in the massacre in the community of Sufa and the nearby military outpost on October 7. Ayman Zaareb, a Rafah brigade commander, was killed in an aerial strike in southern Gaza which killed two other militants while staying in a hideout, according to the army.
