Ukraine Follows Crimea Strikes With ATACMS Attack On “Russian Military Training Camp” In Luhansk

The Ukrainian military reportedly targeted a Russian training range with the US-supplied long-range Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS). Drone footage shared by military analysts on May 1 appeared to show dozens of Russian soldiers being targeted with ATACMS in Luhansk region. The attack came a day after Ukraine attacked the Crimean Peninsula with 12 ATACMS of which Russia claimed to have downed six. On April 30, the Russian Defence Ministry said its forces had destroyed six ATACMS rockets "in the last 24 hours," without saying where they were shot down.
