Malta is an archipelago in the central Mediterranean Sea, located between Italy and North Africa. The country is known for its ancient history, beautiful beaches, and its many churches. The Maltese Islands have a long tradition of Catholicism, and the churches on the islands are an important part of Maltese culture and history.
