A Quiet Place - Day One Trailer

Based on a concept by John Krasinski, Paramount Pictures announced in November 2020 that Jeff Nichols would write and direct a spin-off movie that would take place in the same universe as A Quiet Place (2018). Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski are producing the movie, which is a co-production between Platinum Dunes and Sunday Night Productions. Nichols' script was finished and turned in to the studio, according to a May 2021 announcement from Krasinski. But by October, Nichols had left the movie over creative disagreements, and it was rumored that the studio was scrambling to find a successor. Michael Sarnoski was declared to take over Nichols' role as writer and director in January 2022.
