There is Only One Metaverse
The metaverse is a collective virtual shared space, created by the convergence of virtually enhanced physical reality and physically persistent virtual space, including the sum of all virtual worlds, augmented reality, and the internet. It is the vision of a future internet where users can interact with each other and virtual objects and experiences in real-time, regardless of their physical location. The term "metaverse" was coined by sci-fi author Neal Stephenson in his 1992 novel Snow Crash, in which he described it as a virtual reality-based global network where users could interact with each other and with virtual objects and experiences in real-time. The concept of the metaverse has been further popularized by the success of virtual reality gaming and social media platforms.
