British English Expressions! Part-3
British English also has its own unique idioms and expressions, which are phrases that have a meaning that is different from the individual words that make them up. For example, "to have a bash" means to try, "to be chuffed" means to be pleased or satisfied, and "to be knackered" means to be very tired. British English also has its own pronunciation, which can be different from American English. For example, the "r" sound is pronounced in words like "car" and "far" in American English, but it is not pronounced in British English. Additionally, British English uses different terms for certain things, such as "flat" for an apartment, "pavement" for a sidewalk, and "lorry" for a truck.
