He began playing soccer at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the most talented players in the country. In 1956, at just 16 years old, Pele made his professional debut for Santos FC, a team based in his hometown of Santos. Over the course of his career, Pele became known for his exceptional skills and ability to score incredible goals. He played for Santos FC for 18 years, winning numerous titles and individual awards.
