What is Mankading in cricket

This is about Mankading, which is a special type of run-out of Non-striking End Batter by the in-action bowler, whilst the Non-striking End Batter is out of the crease in an attempt of backing up. As a bowler enters in delivery stride, the Non-Striking End Batter usually backs up i.e. begin to leave the crease and walks towards the Striking End, to ensure reach there well in time. Sometimes a batter, whilst backing up, leaves the crease before the bowler has reached the point where it normally releases the ball. When this happens, the bowler may stop the run-up and attempt to run out the Non-Striking End Batter.
