Indicators of ASD in Preschool
There are several indicators that a child may have ASD, and these may be present in preschool-age children (ages 3 to 5). signs and symptoms of ASD at this age:
Delays in language development, such as not speaking or using single words by age 2
Difficulty initiating or maintaining conversations
Lack of interest in interacting with others, including playing with other children
Difficulty interpreting nonverbal cues, such as facial expressions or body language
Limited range of interests or activities
