O beloved, have you not seen a group of children of Israel who came after Moses when he said to one of his prophets, raise up for us a king so that we may fight in the way of God? If it is made obligatory, then do not do it. They said, "What happened to us that we did not fight in the way of Allah, even though we were expelled from our homeland and our children? Then when Jihad was made obligatory on them, they turned away, except for a few of them, and Allah is good." He knows the wrongdoers.
