The Chocolate Pieces Trick

This chocolate trick relies on the fact that each time the other person adds more chocolate pieces to the row, the total number of chocolate pieces will be a multiple of the original number chosen. For example, if the original number chosen was 3, the total number of chocolate pieces will always be a multiple of 3. The person performing the trick can use this information to correctly predict the total number of chocolate pieces without counting them.
