Overcoming Fear and Embracing Culture

Well, I put fear into perspective. If my great grandfather did it at the turn of the 20th century, coming from Romania and Russia, going to New York in the garment industry, learning English and making their money, I can do the same thing. That's how I convinced my parents to let me live south. But I guess a lot of it is good faith in the beginning. Once again, I'm a guest here. I learned your culture. I learned the language.
