US: Containment efforts on Los Angeles fires stalled by red flag weather conditions

Angeles area have so far killed at least 27 people and destroyed more than 12,300 structures since the blazes erupted on Jan 7. Officials announced that the two largest fires, which have obliterated nearly 16,000 hectares and razed entire neighborhoods of Los Angeles, are for the first time both more than half contained. As firefighters continue to make headway in extinguishing the flames, some evacuation orders have begun to be lifted. However, the National Weather Service warned that powerful winds and low humidity will once again bring "dangerous high-end red flag fire weather conditions" starting Monday
