Ukraine rejects Putin's Orthodox Christmas truce offer

Ukraine says Russia's proposal for a ceasefire over the Orthodox Christmas cannot be taken seriously until it withdraws from the occupied territories. Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held phone calls with both leaders in a bid to mediate peace talks. Washington has been quick to applaud Türkiye's offer to mediate.
