Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer who is the 22nd and current Prime Minister of Pakistan. He is the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and has served as a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 2002. Before entering politics, Khan was a successful cricketer, captaining the Pakistani cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. He retired from cricket in 1992 and founded the PTI in 1996. Khan was elected as the Prime Minister of Pakistan in 2018 after his party won the most seats in the National Assembly in the general elections. He is known for his stance on corruption, and has vowed to take on the entrenched political establishment in Pakistan.
