Tabuk, located in northwestern Saudi Arabia, holds significant importance in Islamic history. One of its most notable events is the Expedition of Tabuk, led by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in 630 CE. This was the last military campaign of the Prophet and marked a crucial moment in early Islamic history.
The city is also home to Tabuk Castle, an ancient fortress that once served as a resting place for pilgrims traveling to Mecca. Additionally, Tabuk is linked to Prophet Musa (Moses) in Islamic tradition, as it is believed that he and his followers passed through the area after escaping Egypt. Near Tabuk, the Tombs of Prophet Musa’s followers can be found in Maghaer Shuaib, adding to the city's spiritual significance.
