Max Verstappen DEFENDED Lewis Hamilton on his 3-Place Grid Penalty in Monaco GP

Lewis Hamilton was handed a three-position grid drop after impeding Max Verstappen in Q3 of qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. Hamilton, on a slow lap, was told that Verstappen was coming up behind and to move out of the way, but then saw the RB21 slow.
A bit of misinformation from the Ferrari pit wall, when they told Hamilton that Verstappen was now 'slowing down', led him to reenter the racing line, slowing Verstappen in the middle sector of his second run in Q3. This slowdown is what ultimately stopped Verstappen from battling with the McLarens and Ferraris for a spot on the first two rows.
