Balanagar Police Arrested Accused. Medchal DCP koti Reddy Prees Meet

*PRESS NOTE* *ARREST OF DRUG PEDDLERS – SEIZURE OF DRUG* In a major breakthrough, on 02-06-2025, the Kukatpally Police along with Balanagar SOT Police apprehended five persons in Cyberabad who were conspiring to sell the mixed with Ephedrine at Kukatpally. The accused were intercepted near Jaya Nagar, Kukatpally, while searching for buyers and a total of 820 grams of drug worth Rs. One Crore was seized from their possession. They were taken into custody and are being produced before the Hon’ble Court. *ACCUSED DETAILS :* A1. Gunashekar (Supplier), AR Constable, Tirupathi. A2. Unnam Surendra @ Suri, age 31 yrs, Occ: Unemployed, R/o Tirupathi, AP State. A3. Dothireddy Haribabu Reddy, age 38 yrs, Occ: Contractor, R/o. Bapatla District, AP State. A4. Chegudi Mercy Margaret, age 34 yrs, Occ: Business (Fast-food center), R/o. Addanki, Bapatla District, AP State. A5. ShaikMasthanVali, age 40 yrs, Occ: Business (Fast-food Center), R/o. Addanki, Bapatla District, AP State. A6. DevarajuYesuBabu, age 29 yrs, Occ: Self Employee (Providing Loans), R/o. Addanki Village &Mandal, Bapatla District, AP State. A7. Appanna, (Peddler) R/o. Bangalore, Karnataka *APPREHENSION:* During the ongoing investigation, it was revealed that the main accused A1. Gunasekhar, a serving Taskforce Police Constable in AP State, who proposed the sale of Ephedrine for profit.The accused. A2.UnnamSurendra, was greedy to easy money was attracted to proposal and along with his associates A3 to A6, conspired to sell the drug in Hyderabad where there is high demand. In this regards Surendra got acquainted with Chegudi Mercy Margaret, who previously worked at Keerthana Finance in Kandukur, Prakasam District. Surendra used to refer customers to Mercy Margaret for gold loans and used to earn commission. Disputes arose to Surendrawith Mercy Margaret and ShaikMasthanVali (who is the friend of Mercy Margaret)regarding the repayment of the hand loan. To resolve the issue, Surendra’s friend Donthi Reddy HariBabuReddy, a road contractor from Karlapalem Mandal of Bapatla District, tried to mediate between them. HariBabu Reddy informed Mercy Margaret, who then discussed it with her friend DevarajuYesuBabu, a private loan agent from Addanki. YesuBabu claimed he knew many people in Hyderabad who was interested in purchasing the drug On 29-05-2025, A2 collected 820 grams of drug. mixed with Ephedrine from A1 at Tirupati and proceeded to Hyderabad via Guntur. The group assembled at Jaya Nagar, Kukatpally and planned to distribute the contraband. On 02-06-2025, while they were moving towards Bhagyanagar, Kukatpally in search of consumers, the patrolling police intercepted them based on suspicious movement and behavior. One of the accused attempted to flee but was apprehended. Upon questioning and search, the team recovered 820 grams of .Ephedrine, a digital weighing machine, and mobile phones used in the conspiracy. The seizure was made as per NDPS Act procedures. *SEIZED CONTRABAND:*  820 grams of mixed with ephedrine worth Rs. One Crore  One Digital weighing machine,  Five Smartphones of accused persons. The teams worked under the supervision of Medchal SOT DCP D.Srinivas, Balanagar L/O ADCP P. Satyanarayana Kukatpally Staff along with SOT Balanagar team made enormous efforts in apprehending the accused persons. *APPEAL TO PUBLIC:* Cyberabad Police request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information.
