Quietly Turkish Kirpi spotted in Romania while heading to Ukraine
Quietly, a large convoy of Turkish BMC Kirpi 4x4 MRAP armored personnel carrier, was spotted at the railway station in Bacau, Romania while on its way to Ukraine. Turkey continues to supply Kirpi to Armed Forces of Ukraine under NATO protection, but those vehicles are some of the most frequently destroyed and captured by Russian Armed Forces.
This vehicle is called a "hedgehog" and is a mrap, as the author has stated before. It is designed to protect Turkish soldiers against mines, improvised explosive devices and ambushes by terrorists. Usually above it is a turret armed with a manual or remote-controlled m2 Browning heavy machine gun. For protection against missiles and rockets it has a standard cavity armor system. As far as I can see in the video, there are no turrets and no additional protection measures.
