Rais Hamidou

Raïs Hamidou (1770 - 1815) He was one of the most famous commanders of the Algerian Navy. A daring corsair and a folk hero, he sailed the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, becoming legendary for his courage and exceptional naval prowess. He led a powerful fleet and successfully struck fear into European naval powers by targeting their merchant ships.
