In this episode, Sunny and Bajie continue their journey back to the Badlands and encounter a formidable warrior named Nathaniel Moon. Meanwhile, M.K. learns a disturbing secret about the Abbots, and the Widow prepares for a political showdown with the other Barons. Sunny's storyline Sunny and Bajie, still trying to make it back to the Badlands, are ambushed by nomadic bounty hunters. They are saved by Nathaniel "Silver" Moon, a legendary former Clipper with a tragic past. Moon, who has a similar background to Sunny, has killed 999 men in his life. He battles Sunny, believing they are destined to be worthy opponents. The fight ends with Sunny winning but sparing Moon's life. However, Moon attempts to kill Sunny, prompting Bajie to intervene and cut off Moon's hand, taking his impressive sword. M.K.'s storyline While training with The Master and the Abbots, M.K. discovers a dark secret. He finds out that any student who tries to escape the monastery is captured and undergoes a brutal "cleansing" procedure, which removes their powers. Horrified by what he witnesses, M.K. becomes increasingly disillusioned with his training and plots to escape. The Widow's storyline The Widow, accompanied by the strategist Waldo, travels to the Conclave called by Baron Ryder. Waldo, having been cast aside by the Barons after becoming disabled, has aligned himself with The Widow, believing in her cause to help the common people. The Widow arrives with more than diplomacy in mind as she prepares to face the other Barons. Quinn and Veil Veil and her baby Henry remain in hiding under Quinn's care. Veil is forced to forge Quinn's X-rays to hide the fact that his brain tumor is getting worse. Quinn's erratic behavior continues as he solidifies his new cult-like following.
