Plot summary Sunny and Bajie: Sunny and Bajie arrive at a junkyard run by Nos, a smuggler and old acquaintance of Bajie's, to find a way back into the Badlands. Nos agrees to help in exchange for the legendary sword of Nathaniel Moon. While there, Sunny learns from Nos that Quinn is still alive. A desperate mother, Portia, asks Sunny to kill Nos, but Sunny refuses. After discovering the plot, Nos punishes Portia and threatens her daughter, Amelia. Sunny intervenes, leading to a fight with Nos and his men. Sunny and Bajie escape with Portia and Amelia after Bajie gets the keys to Nos's car. The Widow: After the disastrous conclave, the Widow consults her regent, Waldo. She ultimately decides to forge an alliance with Quinn, rather than fight the other Barons. She tasks Waldo with finding Quinn before the others do. Quinn: Wracked by hallucinations of his dead son, Ryder, Quinn becomes increasingly paranoid and unhinged. The apparition of Ryder taunts Quinn about Veil's deception regarding his brain tumor and reminds him he killed Veil's parents. Quinn nearly harms his baby son, Henry, while trying to determine Veil's loyalty. Veil ultimately escapes with Henry just as Quinn's hideout is attacked by Lydia and her clippers. Lydia and Jade: Lydia, mourning the death of her son Ryder, discovers Quinn's return and hides the truth from the new Baron, Jade. Lydia shares Quinn's location with Jade and goes to confront him, but their ambush is thwarted by a bomb. MK: After training at the monastery, MK uses a practice session as an opportunity to escape. He comes across a tree of hanged boys, takes a corpse's clothes as a disguise, and heads off on his own.
