Air date: April 23, 2017 Episode synopsis Sunny, Bajie, and M.K. fight the Abbots The hunt for M.K.: After M.K. and Ava flee the Master's temple, the Abbots use a device to track those with the Gift, following M.K.'s energy signature. The signal leads them to an abandoned ski lodge, where Sunny, Bajie, M.K., and Ava are hiding. The battle: The Abbots surround them, and a ferocious fight ensues. M.K. attempts to use his Gift, but is still unable to control it without a cut. Ava, however, activates her Gift and fights alongside them. A shocking reveal: During the fight, Sunny recognizes one of the Abbots, Cyan, as a deadly warrior from his past. Cyan, in turn, recognizes Bajie, calling him "brother" and revealing that Bajie was once an Abbot with the Gift, which he has since lost. A devastating end: The Abbots prove to be formidable foes. Ava is tragically killed after being impaled on a metal object. Bajie manages to neutralize Cyan by striking his pressure points, allowing Sunny to finish him. But not before Cyan strikes Sunny in the chest with the "Hand of Five Poisons," a deadly technique that affects his organs and leaves him incapacitated. The Widow makes a deal with Quinn Veil and her son Henry seek shelter with the Widow, Minerva. In exchange for safety, the Widow requests that Veil help her interpret a book from Azra that M.K. recovered. Quinn, who knows the Widow is holding Veil, requests a meeting. During their tense conversation, Quinn offers a new alliance, but only if the Widow hands over Veil and Henry. Reluctantly, the Widow agrees to the terms and betrays Veil, giving Quinn the leverage he needs. Other key events Lydia, Quinn's ex-wife, is taken by Quinn after surviving the explosion at West Avalon. Tilda grows closer to Odessa, another member of the Widow's resistance.
