#wildlife #scorpion #tarantulatuesday Hello, friends. 1/channel (SAENG) Key Observations: The Combatants: Scorpions: The video features two large scorpions, likely belonging to the genus Heterometrus, commonly known as Asian Forest Scorpions. One scorpion is predominantly black, while the other has a more brownish-red coloration on its body and tail. These scorpions are notable for their large pincers (pedipalps) and are common throughout Southeast Asia. Ants: A very active and numerous colony of large black ants is seen swarming from a hole in the ground. They display highly defensive and aggressive behavior, immediately attacking the scorpions. Sequence of Events: The video begins with the black scorpion being pushed into the ants' nest. The ants immediately swarm it, covering its body and attacking it relentlessly. A second, brownish scorpion is then introduced to the scene. The two scorpions are forced into a confrontation at the entrance of the ant nest. They grapple with each other using their pincers and tails, fighting for position. Throughout their battle, the ants continuously swarm over both scorpions, biting and attacking them. The scorpions' fight is intense, with them pulling and pushing each other into and out of the ant nest. At times, one scorpion appears to gain dominance, dragging the other into the burrow, only for the struggle to spill back out onto the surface. The scene suggests human intervention, as the scorpions appear to be deliberately placed into this situation to provoke a fight for filming purposes. This is not a depiction of a purely natural encounter. In summary, the video shows a staged fight between two Asian Forest Scorpions, which is further complicated by the relentless attack from an entire colony of ants whose nest has been invaded.
