Physical Characteristics: The Agami Stork is approximately 66 to 76 cm long. It has a long neck and a thin, dagger-like bill that is longer than its head. Its plumage is colorful with unique patterns, including blue-gray feathers over most of its body and maroon on its belly and neck.
Habitat: This stork lives in calm waters with dense vegetation, such as mangrove forests, forest streams, swamps, and freshwater wetlands. They are rarely found in open areas.
Behavior: Agami storks are solitary and expert hunters in freshwater. They typically forage at water's edges to catch prey such as fish, snails, amphibians, and aquatic insects.
