THIS EGYPTIAN DOCTOR SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE PROVIDING FREE HEALTHCARE BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THAT NO ONE SHOULD SUFFER JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN'T AFFORD TREATMENT. Dr. Mohamed Mashally, known as "The Doctor of the Poor," dedicated more than 50 years of his life to treating the poor in Tanta, Egypt. He charged only 5-10 Egyptian pounds per visit, and often treated patients for free. His motivation came after a young boy with diabetes died because his mother couldn't afford the medicine. Deeply moved, Dr. Mashally made a vow to God never to take money from the poor and to devote his life to helping them. He continued working into his late 70s, treating dozens of patients every day. When he passed away in 2020 at the age of 76, thousands attended his funeral, and he was remembered as a true symbol of humanity.
