The Prophet Muhammad did not cry when he saw the rain, but he did weep from other causes related to his deep fear and love for Allah, compassion for his community, and the remembrance of death. He would sometimes prostrate in the rain, and a Hadith describes him praying for the rain to be fruitful, not weeping.
